When I opened my studio earlier this year, I already knew I was excited to be able to plan mini sessions in there! I had a vision in my head for how I wanted my set up for my Christmas Minis 2023 to look (and for all of my mini sessions going forward!)
My studio is an all White, natural light, prop free studio. However, I wanted to incorporate a little bit of a ‘sprinkle of Christmas’ into my studio without the need for a themed backdrop or any props! I also wanted my Christmas Mini photos to still have that timeless, all year round look to them so if you were to print and display them in your home they’re not photos that can only be displayed at Christmas time.
So my studio mini session vision… FLOWERS!!!
With a stunning Winter floral display in my studio, I was able to bring a subtle and classic Winter/Christmas look! All while still using my background free wall to have your child/your family as the focus of the photo without being distracted by any ‘busy-ness’ with any props or backdrops.
I knew there was only florist for the job and that was Ella of Flowers Of Bath! – She was my wedding florist and her floristry is just absolutely beautiful! So I reached out, explained my vision and left it in her very capable hands!
I had an absolute blast seeing and meeting everyone for their Christmas Mini session! (Both new and returning clients!) and I already can’t wait for more mini sessions in my studio!

SEASONAL FLORAL MINI SESSIONS!
Not everyone celebrates Christmas and I don’t want to exclude anyone who still wants family photos at this time of year. So going forward my ‘Christmas Mini Sessions’ will be called ‘Winter Mini Sessions’
Introducing… SEASONAL FLORAL SESSIONS!
I don’t offer family sessions throughout the year in my studio, as I focus purely on maternity, newborn and cake smash sessions. So I will now be offering family sessions only THREE times a year during my seasonal floral session set ups! So you can still have the chance to get those updated family photos!
- Spring Floral Mini Sessions (March time)
- Autumn Floral Mini Sessions (August time)
- Winter Floral Mini Sessions (November)
Each round of mini session will all have their own stunning seasonal floral display set up, so no two mini sessions will ever be the same!
