I first met Sammy & Aaron for their consultation at their home, where I was warmly greeted by their adorable fur babies, Willow and Buddy! We chatted through their plans for wedding photography, and I was thrilled to hear that Willow and Buddy would also be part of their big day.

I was especially excited to photograph their wedding at Elmhay Park, Orchardleigh Estate, in Frome, Somerset, as it was my first time shooting at this stunning venue. With its walled gardens, scenic golf course, and elegant outdoor spaces, Elmhay Park offered the perfect variety of backdrops for couple portraits and wedding day moments.

On the wedding day, I began with Sammy at the castle on Orchardleigh Estate as the morning preparations got underway. We then moved to the cottages to finish the final touches before meeting Aaron, who was eagerly waiting in the Italian Garden for their ceremony. It was a gorgeous summer’s day, filled with laughter, mingling guests, and plenty of photogenic moments. Willow and Buddy made a delightful appearance during couple portraits, while garden games, space hoppers, a caricaturist, and singer Dan Reynard kept guests entertained throughout cocktail hour. The day ended beautifully with golden hour portraits, followed by Dan performing their first dance and continuing into the evening before a sparkler send-off.

It’s always a pleasure to work alongside talented videographers, and I was thrilled that Sammy & Aaron had booked Nigel from Ever After Films. Nigel had filmed my own wedding in 2019, so it was lovely to be on the other side of the camera and collaborate with him again.
