Not a problem. While I personally use the Apple ecosystem (iPhone, iCloud and MacBook), the principles taught inside Photo SOS can be applied to any smartphone with a camera roll.
The course focuses on creating a simple system for organising, backing up and protecting your memories. I briefly cover alternative options for Windows users and other devices, and while I may not be an expert in every setup, you'll have more than enough guidance to adapt the system to your own technology.
The goal isn't to copy my exact setup (although great if you can, I'm simply showing you how I do it) it's to create a backup system that works for you.
I do recommend using a computer as part of a robust backup strategy, particularly if you want to keep an additional copy of your photos on an external hard drive (which I strongly recommend and cover in detail inside the course)
However, please don't let that stop you from taking the course.
Even if you only implement parts of the system, such as organising your camera roll, improving your cloud backups, printing your photos, digitising old family heirlooms, creating your yearly family video(s), you'll still be taking huge steps towards protecting your memories.
Photo SOS isn't just about organisation or perfection. It's also about building better habits, changing your mindset around your photo storage and making your memories safer than they are today.
Photo SOS is my own personal framework I have designed around simple daily, weekly and monthly habits that can be implemented immediately.
Most ongoing tasks take no more than 15 minutes, and often much less.
That said, if you're starting with years of photos and videos already stored on your phone, the initial organisation and backup process will take some time. This isn't a magic quick fix or a done-for-you service.
